Do you know what this movie is called?

I saw it on television once and it was great.

A girl and a guy was lovers; soon the girl has to practice to become a
fair maiden and have the manners and grace. The background was set on
what really look like Italy; the boat and... river? She, as a fair
maiden, tried to talk in a rhyming way with someone while the whole
audience watched (if I remember this scene right) and this was when
she first became a fair maiden. Anyways, once before, she and this one
guy were sword fighting until she injured him and he went after her,
wanting to knock her out on a boat at the river. She always tried to
hide herself or be out of the line, but ever since she became a fair
maiden and looked like one, lots of powerful men wanted to take her in
although she already has a lover and isn't in line like the other
girls waiting to be picked.

I really can't remember the name of this movie and researching it with
the description is seriously hard on Google or otherwise.
